Degrees North Studio is a bespoke design firm.
°n studio was founded in 2009 by Julia Foland after she returned to her home state of Alaska after over a decade in New York and Europe. Now after 10+ years in Alaska, °n studio is excited to expand back into New York to launch a bi-coastal practice.
Julia is a born + raised Alaskan. She has an intrinsic awareness of the ever-shifting natural elements that inform our built environment. An underlying theme in her work has been a deep interest in creating a heightened awareness of the everyday experience through the ephemeral activation of space. Julia has a professional degree in architecture from Cornell University’s School of Art, Architecture & Planning.
The firm has extensive experience in the high-end residential market, boutique retail including restaurants and art galleries, ground-up estates, bespoke hospitality, design-build projects and development ventures.
